Motorcycle Accident Leaves Reality Star Injured

Reality television actress Kristen “Trouble” Stamper was injured in a motorcycle accident recently in the Nashville area. Known for her appearances in the show “My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding,” the 20-year-old aspiring model was featured in the season three finale of the show. She has since been signed to a modeling agency in Nashville, where she was hurt in an accident last week.

According to the media, Ms. Stamper signed with AMAX Talent in Nashville as a model after her stint in reality television on the Gypsy Wedding show and has done some smaller work in the area while also working as a waitress. She recently purchased a Kawasaki Ninja 250 motorcycle that she showed off on various social media platforms.

Only a few weeks later Ms. Stamper had her first major accident on her motorcycle. She posted pictures on her Facebook page and wrote “My first wreck on my motorcycle :/ nothings broken, but I’m pretty beat up with a sprained ankle. I rode my bike home afterwards, so I’m hoping it’s not too badly damaged.” She suffered serious lacerations across her legs and arms in addition to her sprained ankle.

Tennessee Motorcycle Accidents

According to the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security, there have been a total of 31 deaths across the state because of motorcycle accidents of the 304 total vehicle deaths this year. Between the years 2010 and 2014, there were a reported 138, 114, 139, 135, and 121 recorded motorcycle fatalities in Tennessee, respectively.

Hundreds more are injured across the state and thousands are hurt around the country because of motorcycle accidents. It is more common for serious injuries and death to occur in motorcycle accidents as opposed to other types of vehicle accidents because of the lack of protection that a motorcycle provides to its driver and passengers. In fact, a report by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) claimed that the probability of a person being injured in a motorcycle accident is as high as 98%.

There are many reasons why motorcycle accidents happen in Tennessee, and many are caused by the drivers of cars, trucks, and other vehicles on the road. One of the most common reasons for motorcycle accidents is due to the inattentiveness of other drivers failing to notice motorcycles on the road. Other common causes of motorcycle accidents include distracted driving, open car doors, failure to obey traffic signals, violating the right of way to motorcyclists, and other negligent driving habits that lead to injured or killed motorcyclists.
